FLEXIBILITY AND MOBILITY
What is the Greatest limiting factor to a great swing?
If you look at any of the current top professional golfers, you'll notice that 95% of them have a great amount of flexibility. Meaning that they can and do produce more club head speed simply by increasing the distance the club head travels. Add to that the ability to keep the club on plane through that range and you get a longer more consistence swing and greater distance. You don't have the time to spend 2-3 hours in the gym and hit 500+ balls a day. You spend a significant part of your day in front of a computer screen, relatively sedentary, and your muscles get tight and joints become more rigid simply from lack of motion. First things first is to determine where you need to increase flexibility and mobility of joints and tissues to help you move more efficiently.

STRENGTH AND POWER
Now that you have the mobility and flexibility, you'll need to add the strength to maintain your newfound range of motion and address posture. It's not just about a range of motion, we have to apply strength to keep from getting tired and power to produce force to hit the ball further. Its not about being tense and strong, but loose and relaxed. Power comes from being loose not tense. Think about if you make a tight fist. Is that arm now relaxed and able to move freely? No it's not. It becomes stiff and rigid and that is no good for golf. Being tight and rigid shortens your range of motion making it much harder to hit the ball further and making consistent shots. Having the strength and power to not have to think about it is the key to staying relaxed and loose.
Enjoy the game more with a plan to increase range of motion, strength and power. Make more of the shots you need with the ability to do so through your newfound ability!
